Are you into physical fitness? Becoming a personal trainer is an ideal way to get fit and teach others about your healthy passion. While you are teaching others about working out, you can stay fit yourself. Your body will soon become a symbol for health and fitness and all the hard work you put into it. The big question is “how to become a personal trainer?” Depending on the state you live in, there are various ways to get your personal training certification. Here are 8 ways to become a person trainer depending on the type of certification you would like to get and where you live.

1. How to become a personal trainer in Indiana

Indiana is a state that is all about staying healthy. Becoming a personal trainer in Indiana is just as simple as many other states. Indiana has very few requirements for you to become a personal trainer. Visit a local college or a state school located in Indiana and go through a person training courses. You will also be required to pass the national certification test in order to get your personal training license.

       2. How to become a personal trainer in California

Californians are known for their high level of physical activity. Personal trainers in California use their skills to teach others about health and physical fitness. You must find an accredited institution in order to become a physical trainer in California. Expect to go to all of your classes and follow through with the entire program. After completing the courses, you can take Academy of Applied Personal Training exam.

3. How to become a personal trainer in NYC

Getting a personal trainer certification in NYC is a little different than the typical certification. You must get a BA degree in an appropriate field before you can become a personal trainer. After that, you must complete the personal trainer exam and get CPR certified. Those are the steps to becoming a personal trainer in NYC.

       4. How to become a personal trainer in Michigan

Getting a person training certificate in Michigan is fairly similar to states like Indiana and Ohio. When you become a personal trainer in Michigan, you can help others reach the same level of physical fitness as you. In order to become a personal trainer in Michigan, you must enroll in PT courses and graduate. Typically, a final test is required before you are considered a fully trained personal trainer.

       5. How to become a personal trainer in Georgia

Physical fitness is a lot more than just exercising. Georgia holds some of the hottest heat indexes in the United States. A personal trainer in Georgia must be able to explain the importance of taking care of the body and eating properly. Getting a personal training certification in Georgia requires you to enroll in a certification program. Over time, you are also expected to continuously take courses to help renew your knowledge.

       6. How to become a certified personal trainer online

Getting a personal training degree online is one of the fastest growing ways to receive your certification. Doing a quick search online will introduce you to many different online schools that offer personal training. Many of these schools require you to take a final exam in order to receive your final degree.

       7. How to become a personal trainer

There are different levels in which you can work as a personal trainer. You can work with a gym or in your own private practice. Getting personal training certifications in most states is the same. The biggest difficulty you may have is finding a job position that does not require more. Some jobs may require you to have experience as a personal trainer before they will hire you. However, getting a personal training certificate just means enrolling in courses, taking the test, and then looking for a job.

       8. How to become a personal trainer for free

If money is tight but you still want to become a personal trainer, then consider getting your certification for free. One of the ways to do this is apply for financial aid through the government. Fill out the FAFSA and prove your income and you could be on your way to earning a full time personal training income.

Many Roads to Becoming a Personal Trainer

Many questions have probably crossed your mind if you have the desire to become a personal trainer. Such as “how long does it take to become a personal trainer” and “how to become a personal trainer at 24 hour fitness.” Most scenarios require you to become a personal trainer and then they will hire you to work in a gym or fitness facility. The bottom line is that each state is a little different in their requirements on how to become a personal trainer. If becoming a personal trainer is what you want to do, then don’t let anything stop you.

Weight lifting is an important part of conditioning for sports. Lifting weights helps athletes get stronger and win more competitions. The type of weights you lift is of course dependent on the sport you participate in. Both women and men’s sports require some form of workout training. Perhaps that training is weight training workouts or body weight circuit training workouts. Chances are that if you are involved in some type of sport, then you need a great weight training workout guide.

Baseball weight training workouts

Thousands of men play baseball every year. Grown men all the way down to little boys play baseball and do some sort of training. The little tykes probably won’t do “weight” training as the bigger guys. Professional baseball players and serious athletes are heavily involved in weight training workouts. Baseball players may participate in cardio and weight training workouts. A few of these workouts might include:

Training the lower back

Training the upper body

Using a medicine ball to strengthen the whole body

Take care of your pitching arm

Working out your chest, arm and leg muscles

Football weight training workouts

Football players have to stay strong and in shape. This ensures they do well in the sport, but it is also for their personal safety. Having a 300 pound linebacker come at you will feel worse if you are not strength training with weights. Football players should use weight training workouts that work. Truthfully, football players need more than just weight training workouts. They also need body agility and speed. Cardio is also an important part of training for football games and practices. Here are a few weight lifting tips directed at football players:

Push Ups/Sit-ups

Lower body weight lifting

Upper body weight lifting

Quadricep exercises

Hamstrings & Gluts

Cardio workouts

Swimming weight training workouts

Swimming is another sport that many men and women are involved in. Men and women alike seem to do about the same endurance weight training workouts and intense weight training workouts. Swimming is a sport that requires lots of hard work and training. If you are not prepared for the competition, then someone else will be. It’s important to engage in the proper weight training so your body can physically prepare for the sport.

Lifting weight on dry land is important

Bench Press

Dumbbell curls

Leg Press

Stretching

Swimmers must prepare their whole body for swimming season. Men and women swimmers must remember to stretch their bodies before engaging in weight lifting activities. The more muscle power you gain, then the faster you can crush the competition. Weight training workouts that work are imperative when training for such a competitive sport like swimming.

Weight training workouts for runners

Running is a great way to get into shape and keep your body healthy. Millions of people run for competitive reasons. Cardio and weight training workouts are essential when running for competitive purposes. Running and strength training go hand-in-hand when it comes to getting in shape for those competitions. Here are a few tips for the best weight training workouts for runners:

Leg lifts

Curls

Push Ups

Sit ups

Planks

Bench Presses

Cardio

Resistant bands

Ultimate Reasons for Weight Training

Men and women athletes do not engage in weight training for nothing. Weight training workouts for women and men are an important part of staying physically fit. There are several reasons as to why men and women decide to lift weights.

Muscle burns more calories.

Muscle allows you to move swifter.

Overall your body mass is leaner.

Sustain less injuries

Lift more weight

Obtain longer endurance

Training with weights is a great way to stay in shape but to also prepare for sports competitions. Men and women may train differently, but there are good weight training workouts to suit their needs. With a little training and determination, anyone can train with weights.

A few things to remember as you train with weight training workouts.

Drink plenty of water

Eat right

Take breaks

Start out slowly

Warm up & cool down

Take vitamins as necessary

Free weight training workouts are available if you don’t want to pay a personal trainer. If you are in a certified sport, then your coach will be able to direct you in the right path for endurance weight training workouts. Endurance, cardio, and weight training are necessary for you to become the athlete you were meant to be. Take these tips and use them to lift weights, stay healthy and to wipe out the competition. Remember to take care of your own body before you focus on seeing major results. Work at it each day and eventually you will master weight training workouts for men and women. You may never know your weight training breaking point if you don’t start workouts weight training now.

Losing a little weight can help you feel great. The right amount of calories are a key factor in losing weight and getting down to the weight you want to stay at. If you have decided to lose weight, then using a little weight calculator can help. The calculator can help you count calories and lose weight. Use a weight calculator to help figure out what your natural weight should be. This tool can be an excellent way to keep yourself accountable for your weight loss goals.

As you lose weight, you may try many different ways to burn calories. You may come across a few ways that are not always healthy. Perhaps you are looking for the following types of weight calculators: “how many calories should i consume to lose weight calculator” or “how many calories a day to lose weight calculator.” Use a weight calculator that will help you figure out your ideal weight and go from there. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions people have when trying to lose weight:

How many calories can I eat to lose weight?

It is no secret that fewer calories are the key factor to lose weight. Some people consume a lot more calories than they are even aware of. When you try to lose weight the first question you ask yourself is “how many calories to eat to lose weight?” There really is no right or wrong answer for this question. You need to eat enough calories so your body can function. However, the overall amount of calories you intake needs to be smaller if you want to see any success in losing weight. One way to caluculate caloric intake is to take the amount you want to weigh and multiply that by 10. For example: If you want to weigh 180 pounds, then your caloric intake should be 1800 calories a day. Engaging in exercise would mean you need to take in even more calories. Taking care of your body is more important than trying to lose weight in a quick manner.

How many calories should a man eat to lose weight?

Men and women are very different when it comes to body size and calories. A man can lose weight in a matter of days and it seems to take many women longer. Men seem to need more calories to function and therefore it takes a different approach to lose weight. A guy looking for a weight loss calculator may wonder just how many caliries he should take in. The amount of calories a guy consumes a day is important. Again, it depends on the physical movement the man will be engaged in during the day. If you sit at a desk all day and hardly move, then your calorie intake will be less. Less movement means you do not burn as many calories throughout the day.

How many calories to consume to lose weight?

The amount of calories you consume on a daily basis is important. Rather than trying to calculate how many calories to lose weight, sit down and understand what you are putting into your body. Make the calories really count. Meet with a nutritionist that can help you understand exactly what type of calories you should be putting into your body.

How many calories to lose weight for kids?

In today’s world, there are more and more overweight kids. How can you help your child lose weight? You can look for a weight loss calculator that answers the following questions “how many calories can i eat to lose weight calculator” and “how many calories to burn to lose weight.” Yes, children can exercise to lose weight.

It’s important to talk to a physician or nutritionist before restricting a child’s calories. A better approach to helping a child lose weight is to offer them better meal choices and encourage healhty eating. Also, make sure to encourage active movement. Turn off the TV and get active with your children and you will see a major difference.

How many calories should I burn to lose weight?

This is something that varies based on the person that is trying to lose weight. Everyone is different in what their caloric intake should be and that means everyone is different in what they should burn. Make an ultimate weight loss goal or use a weight loss calculator and that will help you decide how much weight you need to lose.

Ultimate Weight Loss Tools

Weight loss is a journey that is different for everyone. Asking yourself important questions like “how many calories should I eat to lose weight” and “how many calories should I consume to lose weight”, are excellent ways to jump start your weight loss goals. Always ask yourself questions and hold yourself accountable on this weight loss journey. Do not be afraid to use a weight loss calculator to figure out how much weight you need to lose. Weight loss isn’t easy, but it can be done.

Diabetes is a disease that more and more people are suffering from. Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are most common amongst sufferers. However, gestational diabetes is also an issue that a lot of pregnant women deal with during their pregnancies. Understanding what to eat while you have diabetes can be frustrating and quite a challenge. Finding a diabetes diet plan is not as easy as one might think and it might require help from a nutritionist or healthcare provider. There are a few tips you can keep in mind if you have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

Diabetes Type 1& 2 Diet Plan

Finding the right diabetes diet plan menu is a true challenge. You have to consider your own preferences in food and what would work for a type 1 diabetes diet plan or a type 2 diabetes diet plan. Sometimes your own preferences go out the window and you have to listen to what your doctor says. If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, you are most likely looking for a free diabetes diet meal plan. This should not be a problem if you know where to look. However, your life depends on you eating right and a diabetes diet plan is a must. Here are 5 healthy diet ideas for those diagnosed with diabetes:

Plate Method—this is an ideal diet plan for those who need a diabetes 2 diet plan or a type 1 diabetes diet plan. The Plate Method suggests that you start out by watching your portions. Also, it focuses on what you are actually putting on your plate during meal times. Fill the plate with food from each section of the food pyramid. Those foods include meat, starches, dairy, fruits, and vegetables. Split your plate into small imaginary sections and start filling your plate up.

Diabetes Cook Books—Purchase a cook book that is dedicated to helping you with your diabetes diet plan menu. If you are new to diabetes, then you probably don’t know where to start. Using a diabetes cook book can really help get you on the right track. Always check with your doctor to see if he or she can recommend a specific cook book for your diabetes diet plan menu.

Plan out your meals. This may be a new concept to you and that is okay. However, planning your meals can really help get you on the right track. Type 1 diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes requires you to watch your insulin levels. As time goes on, you will become more comfortable with watching your levels. Planning out your meals can help understand what sugar levels are in each food you consume and how your body will react. There are also resources you can use to help determine how many grams of sugar are in a certain kind of food. Food planning is an excellent place to start and it’s a free diabetes diet meal plan.

Exercise. No one likes to hear the word exercise, but it can be a great tool to fight diabetes because food and exercise go hand-in hand. Exercising is an ideal way to supplement your diabetes diet plan. Join a gym or hire a personal trainer to help you reach your weight loss goals. Start out small until you reach your ultimate fitness goals. Just remember this is for your health and to fight diabetes. Lots of people have used exercise to compliment their type 1 diabetes diet plan or their diet plan for type 2 diabetes.

Buy healthier foods. While you shop, it is so easy to put junk food into the cart; however, if you are interested in a daily diet plan for diabetes, then you must consider what you are buying and consuming. Spend time on the periphery of the supermarket buying fresh and unprocessed foods. Over time you will see a huge change in your weight, insulin levels, and energy.

Dealing With Other Types of Diabetes

In a perfect world, there would be no diabetes. However, people are dealing with many different types of diabetes. Pregnant women are dealing with gestational diabetes. Juveniles are being diagnoses every day with diabetes and need to find a juvenile diabetes diet plan. A gestational diabetes diet plan is often given under the direction of an OB-GYN. The best advice is to talk to a doctor before you begin any major pregnancy diabetes diet plan or juvenile diabetes diet plan.

Pre-Diabetes Diet Plan Tips

You may be worried about a diet plan for pre diabetes. If you are borderline diabetic, then you must take precaution now against diabetes. Exercise and eating right are great ways to help you get out of that diabetic borderline state. Use tips like the plate method to get your portion sizes under control. Meet with a weekly growth group to help mark your progress and stay on top of your health.

This isn’t something that’s talked about too often, but because of a recent horrible experience a buddy of mine just had I feel the need to talk about it. Yes you can in fact over train by lifting weights for extensive periods of time. I’m not talking about a simple pulled or strained muscle here.. Oh no, I’m talking about weight training to the point where it lands you in the hospital. This is no quick fast track emergency visit. What my friend did caused him to be in the hospital for a solid week with rhabdomyolysis! When your advised to consult a doctor and a nutritionist before you start weight training it’s wise to not take that advice lightly. I recently put up a post entitled “Make free time the best family time ever with weight loss programs” and in this post I mention the importance of taking it slow. You’d think my friend would take into consideration that I do have a web site where I talking about health and fitness all the time would at least talk to me before starting a serious weight training regiment. Nope, he did the exact opposite. He decided to start cold turkey, ignored the advice of consulting a doctor and nutritionist, and forget about taking it slow.. He decided to start a regiment that would be a tough task for professionals. He’s going to kill me for posting this, but if I can help it at all I wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else.

His workout regiment for day 1

Warm up with 100 push-ups

Exercise: Chest and Biceps
Barbell Bench Press: Warm up reps: 1 x 10
Working sets x reps: 2 x 8-10
Rest between sets: 90 sec
Failure sets: 1 x 8-10
Total sets: 4 sets

Incline Dumbell Press: Warm up reps: 1 x 10
Working sets x reps: 2 x 8-10
Rest between sets: 90 sec
Failure sets: 1 x 8-10
Total sets: 4 sets

Flat Dumbell Fly: Warm up reps: 1 x 10
Working sets x reps: 2 x 8-10
Rest between sets: 90 sec
Failure sets: 1 x 8-10
Total sets: 4 sets

E-Z Barbell Curl: Warm up reps: 1 x 10
Working sets x reps: 2 x 8-10
Rest between sets: 90 sec
Failure sets: 1 x 8-10
Total sets: 4 sets

Dumbell curl: Warm up reps: 1 x 10
Rest between sets: 90 sec
Total sets: 4 sets

Call me crazy, but that’s insane for someone on their first workout. Not only was the workout itself hard, he admitted that he only ate once and didn’t have much of anything to drink that day. Listen up both men and women, this has to be the most counter productive thing I’ve ever seen. You guys want a good tip? Do the opposite of what he did.

How to know when to stop

First and foremost listen to you body, if your really sore and tired don’t be afraid to take a break. I’m certain that during this workout he had to have come to a point where he had to have been thinking “My arms are really hurting.” or “Is the pain supposed to be this bad?”. Just a general rule of thumb if you have someone spotting you and the person doing the spotting is also the one doing all the work, chances are your done. Seeing as though we are talking about when to stop, if you haven’t had much of anything to eat or drink don’t start in the first place. Doing so will only set you up for complete failure, which can lead to some serious yet unnecessary health issues. My friend is around 63 inches and weighing around 130 pounds, so therefore his water intake should be some about 5 liters to properly support the amount of water loss during his workout. It’s extremely important to have a proper diet and to stay hydrated before, during, and after your workout.

Information on Rhabdomyolysis

An easy understanding of rhabdomyolysis is a condition where skeletal muscle cells die following an injury. When muscle cells are injured, they break down and release large amounts of substances into your blood. If my memory serves me correct substances my include potassium, phosphate, creatinine kinase, and myoglobin. Potassium levels that are higher than normal are harmful to your heart. Myoglobin is what give your muscles their red color and it’s passed in your urine, but it’s also harmful to your kidneys if large amounts are passed in your urine.

Rhabdomyolysis symptoms

Muscle injury may come from trauma, medicines, certain diseases, harmful substances, and in our case extreme muscular activity. Signs and symptoms my include pain, swelling, and weakness in your legs, arms, or lower back. Also your urine may be dark or tea-colored, or may have blood in it. This is what my friend said scared him about his doctor visit. He when to the clinic thinking that he may have pulled or torn a muscle, until he went to the restroom and notices the tea-colored urine. He then told the doctor and which led to a urine sample and test, blood test, and his levels turned out to be record setting high for both the doctor and hospital. Scary stuff huh?

Guys I can’t stress enough the importance of consulting a doctor and a nutritionist before you start weight training. If at all possible find a personal trainer, these guys are trained certified professionals in this field for a reason. Weight training is fun, but I it can also be dangerous for done improperly.

Isn’t it kind of frightening that kids and teenagers are spending a lot more time indoors these days? Video games and television shows have some how taken the place of good old fashion outdoor fun. Friends and family that I grew up with thought it was much more for to actually get out and play sports like football and basketball than to it and watch some simulation of it. Hula hoop and jump rope contest certainly brought out a lot of laughter, oh and lets not forget the notorious foot races. Hopefully your not thinking oh this guy must old and lost in time, but hold your thoughts for a second because I quite young.. Like early 20′s young. I honestly encourage families to exercise together, not only does it build family character, but it also gets families in the swing of building good habits. Parents if your leading by example followed by the positive reinforcement of encouraging your kids to exercise and eat healthy while their young it’s more likely that they’ll continue to keep these habits though adulthood. Makes sense right?

Family weight loss plans

I’m not going to sugar coat things, family weight loss plans require commitment, hard work, and careful planing. Hey, but if done right it will lead to some fantastic rewards. Let’s not let words like commitment and hard work intimidate you, by no means am I saying open your fridge or pantry and throw everything away. Starting cold turkey like that is madness.. Instead start simple with things like trading whole milk for 2% milk, I can almost promise you your kids won’t be able to tell the difference. Also fortunately for us companies like Motts® are offering fruit juices packed with nutrients with no added sugar. For adults my personal favorites are V8 Splash® and V8 V-fusion®, well that’s when I’m not using my juicer. As you shop just think of things you can replace with more healthier options, milk and juices are just a few small changes to get you headed in the right direction. The best advice is to take it slow, trying to change your families eating habits over night may lead to you feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.

Family exercise programs

Get out and get active people! The great thing about family exercise programs is you don’t have go out and buy some fancy pants video to actually exercise.. Yes I said it. Do you have any idea how much fun and exercise you can have by going something as simple as going to your local park? The thing that I find most interesting is the kids don’t see it as some boring exercise. Think about the times you played on the monkey bars at the playground as a kid… I’m pretty sure as you climbed your way across you weren’t thinking “I’ll be glad when I’m done with this exercise”, well the same thing applies with kids today. All they know is that they are having fun at the park, but little do they know their getting a really good upper body workout. Ever tired family bike riding? I have and believe me its loads of fun, but once again I wasn’t thinking “exercise” I was just thinking about the fun bonding time I was having with my wife, son, and daughter. Of course you can’t pack out and go to the park every day, so for the days you can’t, try to think of some creative exercises to do at home. My family and I have a pretty neat stretching routine that we all can do, yes all the way down the line to our 2 year old.

The video game thing

If you just have to indulge.. If video games are just your favorite past time and you must have them in your life Wii Fit® and games like Just Dance™ will give you a pretty intense workout. I’ve tried both games with little expectations of even breaking a sweat and boy was I wrong. The Wii Fit® has a lot to offer from strength training, aerobics, yoga and even balance games. As for Just Dance™.. A spin here, a kick there, hands in the air and wave.. Now stop, hammer time! Get the picture?

All and all exercising as a family doesn’t have to be some boring old routine. Exercise and can be pretty fun as a family activity and family weight loss is certainly not as intimidating as it may seem. I say give it a shot believe me you won’t regret it.
